Separate market observation from execution authority.
The server requests public index chart observations from Yahoo Finance. Availability and delays vary by exchange and provider. Each successful chart identifies the source and observation timestamp.
A failed request results in an explicit illustrative chart rather than an invented live quote. The order calculator can use an editable reference value.
A production oracle should require authorized signatures, an explicit threshold, domain separation, timestamps and bounds on future or stale observations. Each consuming contract must apply its own freshness and session rules.
A fresh publication timestamp does not make the underlying market observation fresh. Both timestamps must be evaluated.
Authorized signers remain a trust assumption because they can attest to incorrect observations. Independent sources and signers reduce some risks but do not remove them.
Delayed public quotes are unsuitable as an unquestioned settlement source for leveraged trading. Execution-grade feeds and manipulation analysis are required before live operation.
